About me

self-portrait

Since the age of 15, I have been deeply involved in photography, a passion sparked and nurtured by my mother, a fine art photographer from Lleida, Spain. Her influence has been profound, fueling my growing hunger for art with books, movies, artists' stories, and visual and literary languages. It started with a small explosion that began with a vibration in my hands that overtook my legs and body. That unbelievable instinctive urge to capture that feeling through the lens of my camera.  When I started taking photographs, it felt like it was the first time I spoke in a language others could understand. I began taking self-portraits around my parents' house, often inspired by recently painted rooms, items of clothing, everyday objects, and the play of light.

My inspiration has come from various sources, including photographers like Sarah Moon, Sally Mann, Peter Lindbergh, Francesca Woodman, Cindy Sherman, and Wolfgang Tillmans. My creative journey led me to study dramatic arts in high school, where I became fascinated by the theatricalization of human beings and the deep exploration of our emotions and inner and outer conflicts. This study significantly influenced my photography, as it gave me a deeper understanding of narrative and character, which I now translate into my visual work.

In 2019, I was accepted into the London College of Fashion for a Bachelor's in Fashion Photography. During those three years, I honed my style, using fashion to translate personal and expressionistic viewpoints into visual narratives. My time at the college was transformative, as it allowed me to explore the intersection of fashion and photography in a structured academic environment. I became intrigued by how an item of clothing could change in meaning depending on its context within a story. This exploration opened a world where fantasy and reality could collide, evoking poetic storylines and complex emotions through light, movement, and fabric.

My work, initially in black and white, reflected a rich mood but lacked the full sensory palette of reality. Feeling restricted by this, I started to seek out new textures and vibrant colors, capturing scenes with my Leica on the streets and in unguided landscapes. This journey helped me find innovative ways to blend elements of imagination with tangible reality, creating images that invite the viewer to question their origins. My inspirations are not just rooted in the history of photography but also draw deeply from the storytelling traditions of opera, dance, sculpture, and painting.

Now, I am driven by a desire to redefine what photography means both in the art world and to me personally. I aspire to tell stories using symbolism, my own visual language and a mixture of dreams, thoughts, and the physical world around us. This aspiration fuels my creative journey and I hope it inspires others to push their own artistic boundaries.
